Tobot is a South-Korean animated series produced by Young Toys and Retrobot and licensed by DHX Media's WildBrain in the United States.
The franchise consists of:
- An animated series (102 episodes)
- A Korean toyline
- An international toyline
- A feature film
- A webtoon (webcomic)
- Loads of Korean merchandise
- Mobile Apps
Tobot aired between 2010 and 2016 in South Korea as around 400 5-minute episodes altogether. In the United States, however, they were broadcasted as 102 22-minute episodes in 2018.
The first movie of Tobot was released in South Korea in 2017. As of now it is unknown whether this movie would be released in the United States.
Athlon ran from 2016 to 2017 with a total of 29 22-minute episodes. Though labelled as a spin-off, Athlon is generally considered a separate series entirely, as it is quite different from Tobot. An English dub by Ocean Productions exists, but a global release has not been announced yet.
Zero Story was uploaded to the Inamutoon webcomic hosting site from December 23rd, 2016, to July 22nd, 2017, spanning 16 chapters. Currently, it is unknown whether it will be released outside of Korea.
Biklonz is Tobot's sister show, having run from 2014 to 2016. Though not completely connected continuity-wise, both shows have consistently referenced each other since Biklonz's release, and they share similar surroundings (and sometimes characters).
